Steve Wilson
Chief Executive Officer
Steve is from the Haisla Village of Kitamaat. Steve’s Haisla name is Duxlaha, he hails of the Beaver Clan.
By way of background Steve’s career spans over 25 years. His experience has been gained from a Job Creation Specialist with the federal government, stores worker with the Vancouver Police Department, a Meter Checker with the City of Vancouver, a Police Constable with CP Police, a criminal courtworker with the Native Courtworkers of BC, an environmental activist with the Na na kila Institute, elected chief councillor of Kitamaat Village Council, a band administrator with various bands, and a business owner.
Additionally, Steve worked in the energy sector and utilities sector.
Later in life, to support his business, Steve went back to school to obtain his Master’s Certificate in Project Management at UNBC, followed by his Master’s Degree in Business Administration at SFU.
Currently, Steve is working towards his doctorate in Business Administration at Golden Gate University.
As a fresh face at Gitlaxdax, Steve sees a lot of opportunities to grow the organization in new sectors and expresses how happy he is to be apart of the team!
Steve wishes to convey his door is open to all who have questions or concerns, if the door is closed, knock, poke your head in and let him know you need to talk, and he can arrange how we you will meet.

Michelle McNeil
ACTING CEO
Founding Member of GNTS
Ant’aahl Wilaaýisgum Ganaaẃhl way, ksim Ganada niin wilp NiisJoohl. Laxgalts’ap wil witgwiy, Gitlaxdax wil jogay.
Michelle has worked with the Terrace Urban Local since 2013 in several capacities, bringing over 20 years’ experience in Administration in the non-profit sector and knowledge of the community services available in the Terrace area. As the Cultural Coordinator a few programs she runs are: monthly elders socials, Nisga’a language classes, regalia making, traditional food distributions, Hoobiyee Celebrations and much more.
As a founding member of the Gitlaxdax Sayt Kiĺim Goothl Nisga’a Dancers Michelle has taken on several terms on the Executive committee since 1997. She enjoys growing, harvesting and preparing local resources from medicinal plants to traditional foods.
Michelles cultural upbringing has groomed her well to be an active member of our Nation and community making stepping into her role here at GNTS seamless.

Kiley Leeuw
Office/HR Manager
Kiley has been with GNTS since 2023.
In her spare time Kiley enjoys being a hermit with her husband Bobert and their black cat named Jiji
Kiley started her career life at 16 as a kitchen grunt, eventually working her way up to Owner and Executive Chef by the age of 26.
Tired of late nights and Friday rushes, Kiley moved into Business Management and other Management Positions.
Kiley now has the great fortune of being in the most rewarding position of her life. She is thankful to be able to give back to her community and to work with the most amazing team on this side of the Skeena.

Angela Brown
OUTREACH TEAM LEADER
Galaak’am Ganaa’w, ksim Ganada hails from the Wilp NiisJoohl. She is from Gitlaxt’aamiiks, and resides Gitlaxdax.
Angela has worked with the Gitlaxdax Nisga’a Terrace Society since August of 2023, Ang has been in the Outreach position for 6 plus years and has also started fostering children for over 20 years, which has led her to her roll as an outreach worker. She has learned to have such an open mind and caring heart from her Parents who were also Foster parents as she was growing up. As a founding member of the Gitlaxdax Sayt Kiĺim Goothl Nisga’a Dancers She has brought up her children in our cultural dancing right from caring them through her pregnancy to carrying them on her back while dancing. Now the same with her Grandchildren, and adoptive kids.
Ang enjoys being with her Family and Husband, doing spontaneous trips hikes and family gatherings. Bringing people together is one of Ang’s strong points, making people feel loved and included.
Being raised in a very culturally family oriented home has brought her to where is right now, growing up to love and respect all in her path and to make sure everyone is well taken care of.

Cristy Sheehan
WELLNESS DEPARTMENT COORDINATOR
Cristy Sheehan is from Hazelton BC, but grew up here in Terrace BC. Cristy is from Gitxsan/Nisga’a Nation. Cristy is of Frog / Raven Tribe from the house of Wilp Nii’s Joohl gans Nii’s Walks and my Cultural name is Hataatkw Gum Ganaa’w.
Cristy and husband Thomas Share a beautiful blended family of six children, and two foster kids we are also blessed to have four beautiful grandchildren.
Cristy enjoys spending free time with family and friends like camping, hiking, travelling, family dinners and get togethers.
Cristy has always worked in the Public Service industry and enjoy it very much so. I am happy and grateful to be working with our people here at Gitlaxdax Nisga’a Terrace Society as the new Wellness Coordinator. I look forward to working with our members and meeting new people.

Elijah Williams
ACTIVITIES & EVENTS DEPARTMENT COORDINATOR
Elijah’s Nisga’a name is k’aay masim luu haadiyat gaak, which translates to Young Leader. Elijah is of the Ganada tribe, he hails from Wilps Axdii Wil Luu Gooda Ksim Xsaan of the Nisga’a Nation, He comes from the Seafood Capital of the Nass, Gingolx, and currently resides in our local community of Gitlaxdax.
Elijah Williams has been part of our Gitlaxdax Nisga’a Terrace Society since June of 2023, after he joined us fresh out of High School. Bringing his fresh and youthful insights as the Activities and Events Coordinator, he runs a variety of Activities and Events that touch on all Age demographics of our Nisga’a Membership culturally and on a recreation level. Elijah wishes to express his appreciation and gratitude in being able to serve the people of his nation, as the Activities and Events Coordinator.
In Elijah’s spare time, he additionally serves as the Nisga’a Lisims Government Youth Ambassador, while he is not working his two positions, he enjoys spending time with his ansipsiip’inskw and learning more about his Nisga’a Culture and Language.
Elijah would like to add that his door is always open, and he looks forward to meeting more of our Nisga’a Citizens!

George Peal
WELLNESS COACH
George Peal Jr is originally from the community of Gitlakdamix in the nass valley. He is in the Eagle tribe from the house of Wilps Gitxhoon and very proud to have the chieftain name of Simo’ogit Gitiks.
He has lived in Gitlaxdax for almost 35 years and is proud to be a part of the community. George is currently one of the directors of the Gitlaxdax Sayt Kitlim Goot Nisga’a dancers.
