Youth Activities Department

We work to support, mentor, guide and create a sense of belonging for our youth. We integrate cultural elements into recreational programs, ensuring that traditional values and practices are respected and celebrated. We provide all coordination, scheduling, communication, development and implementation of programs, projects, activities, and services for the youth in the GNTS service area.

These classes serve as a way to pass down ancestral knowledge and skills to the youth, fostering a sense of connection to their cultural roots.

Some of our after school programs focus on traditional indigenous forms of expression. These activities not only provide a platform for artistic expression but also serve as a means of learning and preserving cultural dances, songs, and rhythms.

In other programs youth can spend time in nature, partake in traditional ceremonies, and learn about the customs and beliefs of their culture. These outings can foster a deep sense of belonging and connection to the land and traditions of their ancestors.
